Katie and Justin: Fleet Week Sweethearts

I’m pretty sure that one of the best parts of growing up is getting to see your friends find their person.

I could barely contain my excitement when Katie asked if she and Justin could come visit Baltimore for the weekend to celebrate Justin’s birthday, especially since it was going to be a surprise for Justin! All he knew was that he was going somewhere for the weekend, so the surprise made the visit extra special!

Now, we might have stayed up really late the night before this session, but you can’t tell that we had only gotten two hours of sleep before getting up at the crack of dawn to catch the sunrise.

And… Spoiler alert, there was no sunrise, it was just cloudy, but getting up so early was still worth it because we had the whole of Fell’s Point to ourselves for a good hour and a half. It was the best morning to take our time wandering and snapping photos. And naturally, Katie had made sure that all of their outfits were on point, which added an extra something something to the final product! We wandered, we got coffee twice, we laughed, we explored the flea market, and it was just THE BEST morning. Oh, did I mention that it was Fleet Week, so they had all the old, big boats docked? I was in heaven.

Oh yeah, then we went to Fogo De Chao and stuffed our faces #noshame.

If you’ve ever considered doing a sunrise session but don’t think you have the motivation to get out of bed, let these photos change your mind! And you can always take a nap afterward, so it’s a win win.
